Going cycling along a nagara river is one of the most popular cycling route from Seki cycling team.

Our team has almost 70 members despite a small town.

How to enjoy with bike during cycling tour.

We are able to experience this significant life and beautiful scenary with your favorite bike.
In the general course, you should go to Gujo hachiman that has land mark as a white castle on the mountain.
It took around 40 km one way from Seki station to gujo Haciman city.

You can see great river and beautiful forest all around.
The river were surrounded by deep forest and mountains.
There are several village, rice fields and red train called “Nagaragawa train”.

How to get the Gujo Hachiman that is a old water city.

If you can arrive at Seki Station, you can assemble your own bike the station.
You are able to go adventure soon.

A beautiful old town called “Mino”.

At first, you shoud go to Mino city that is famous for making Japanese paper.
The city has landmark that is castle on the hill next the nagara river.

You can see a vivid red bridge as a land mark of Mino.

You can go along the river.
You should take a prefectural road no 324.

In the other hand, there is a wide way called national road no 156.
But, the way has a lot of car on the road.
So, you should take a detor to avoid the heavy trafic.
If so, you can go cycling comfortably and safely.

Gujo Minami that is beautiful river town.

Eventually, you can arrive at Gujo Minami town.
The place has several small town, so you should take a break and take a local food.

The bakery watanabe.

This shop is in Minami kariyasu that is center of Gujo Minami next to the minami kariyasu station.
The shop has versatile breads that are almost delicious.
So, if you have time, you should stop the shop and take breads.

Eventually, you can arrive the mirage forest.

You can feel a lot of wonderful experience in this forest.

The river has several colors such as vivid blue and bliliant grean.

Afterwards, you can arrive at small village called “Aioi”.
The village has a shop that has drink and foods.
So, stop the shop and take a break.
If you arrive at the village, it takes at least only 5 km to Gujo Hachiman.

The city has excellent white castle on the mountain.
The town has only 15,000 people, but great atmosphia.
There are old architectures in the commercial district called “Honmachi”.
You should go to this area to go shopping and see the castle.
There are a lot of souvenir shops, restaurants and acommodations.
So, you can buy anything.

White castle called “Gujo hachiman jo”.

This castle is made by Endo of local noble in the past.
Nowadays, the castle was rebuilt based on Oogaki jo that is one of the most beautiful architecture in Japan.

Thats why, this castle has several great atmosphia.

You can go to the castle by bike.
But, the slope was really steep and narrow.
But, its worth to go to the place with your bike.

In fall, there are a lot of colorful maple all around.
Tha is really breathtaking view.

So, if you can go to the place, you should climb the hill to see the white castle.
