Today, let me introduce what I went to Wara Village that preserves many ancient atmosphere.
Wara Village
Wara Village is located in the north east of Gujo City.
The Village has only 1,500 people in this small Village.
In contrast, during cycling to this Village has few cars on the road.
That’s why, this road is good for cycling in our weekend.
Before I arrive at the Village, I can go through the ancient atmosphere as a local district.
For example, the bus stop well preserved ancient atmosphere as you see.
This facility was collected a lot of children from the local houses in the past.
Nowadays, it is already finished to work as a school.
Explore a central Wara Village
If you can arrive at the central Wara Village, you can see the huge cedar called “Ippon Sugi of shrine of Tobakushi”.
this sacred Japanese cedar is already over 1,000 years old.
You can see the shrine of “Togakushi” from here soon.
The sacred shrine has a lot of huge Japanese cedar in front of the shrine.
You can see a couple cedar in the shrine.

The “Iwaneya” is known for it’s great menus and affordable prices for local residents.
It’s about 10 km away from the center of the Village.
