As you know, I’m into cycling for 10 years in this region, so I’m familiar with cycling in this region.

From the experiences, I inform you to go cycling as a deep cycling spot in this region.

This prefecture has Gifu city as a capital city that has 400,000 people.

The city has a simbolic castle called “Gifu castle” on the mountain called “Kinka zan”.

The castle was lived by Oda nobunaga who is the most popular king in Japanese history.

That’s why, the castle has Japanese histrical atmosphere deeply.

According to the histrical theory, the castle has several unique architectures in the past.

As a matter of fact, we can climb the mountain by bike to next to the top of the mountain.

Because, there is a way called “Kinkazan driveway”.

We can arrived at the way to the top of the mountain path by bike.

From then, we have to climb the way called “Oote do” to get the castle.

“Oote do” means “main route to the castle” in histrical japanese.

In the past, generally speaking, there were two ways to the castle.

The one is main route called “Oote do” and the other is sub route called “Karamete do”.

In this case, you can climb the way of main on foot.

It takes about 30 minutes on foot.

If you can get the mountain and get the home base, you should go to the castle town called “Kawara machi” by bike.

You can feel great atmosphere like the past in this castle town.

The old town has several good restaurants, cafes and accommodations.

That’s why, you can go to the place to have lunch.

When I was in this place, I took a unique traditional sweets called “Wabon”.

You can eat it during seeing the old atmosphere in Japan.
