(First Part)Let’s go to a Ikeda mountain such as a great mountain in this region by bike!!

Hello there, I am Atsushi Mabuchi who is representitive this blogs and one of mad cyclists.

Most of our region’s cyclists like those course of this region such as Gujo region, Kanayama region, and Yaotsu region.

But, its rare for us to go to Seino region by bike, because, if we want to go to the place, we have to path the large city called “Gifu region”.

I knew that there is a great mountain called “Ikeda mountain” in this region.

So, someday, I wanted to go to the place by bike.

How about Ikeda mountain.

Ikeda mountain is next to Ibuki mountain that is 1,377 m high and the most popular mountain in this region.

Ikeda mountain has also 924m high.

That’s why, it’s hard for begginer cyclists to climb the mountain path by bike.

I’m into cycling for approximately 10 years.

So, that day, I wanted to climb the mountain from my home.

The mountain makes a lot of snow in the winter.

In other seasons, the mountain makes strong wind from the north to the south.

The wind is cold and dry.

Gifu castle on the mountain.

I woke up at 6 and started to go to the mountain at 6 30 by my road bike.

I arrived at the base of the mountain at 7 20.

It’s about 20 km from my house.

There is a castle on the mountain called “Kinka zan”.

“Zan” means mountain in Japanese.

The castle was lived by Oda nobunaga who is the most popular king in Japanese history.

As a matter of fact, the castle is not popular in Japan despite great environment.

Because, the king make several castle such as Kiyosu castle, Komaki castle, Gifu castle, and Aduchi castle.

Especially, his last castle named “Aduchi castle” is the most popular in his history than Gifu castle.

The castle is diffirent from other castle such as Komaki castle, Kiyosu castle and Gifu castle.

Because, Gifu castle, Kiyosu castle and Komaki castle were for battle.

But, the castle called “Aduchi castle” was to show the great castle and power other king who lived in other small countries.

In evidence, Nobunaga had showed the castle for everyone.

Generally speaking, normal castles had a lot of confidencial information as a army base.

By the way, the castle called “Gifu castle” had a great mountain as a deffencive functions like this.

Next to the castle, there is a traditional destrict called “Kawara machi” which is a castle town.

If you want to go to Ikeda mountain, you should take a route of right that have a characteristic water gate.

If so, you can take a route of river side which has no car on the road.

You can go cycling comfortably and safely without cars and trucks.

Take a detor

The way along the river has no car on the road, but, you shouldn’t go cycling with fast speed.

Because, there are a lot of runners in the morning.

You can go cycling under the sunshine in the morning.

We are able to see all around in this region.

Do you see the mountains both Ibuki mountain and Ikeda mountain?

Ibuki mountain is 1,377 m high and Ikeda mountain is 924 m high.

The mountain will be getting big closer and closer.

You can see the green area next to the top of the mountain.

As a matter of fact, people said that this mountain is good for skydiving and paragliding.
