Nakasendo is one of most impressive anciant route in Japan.

As you know Im a most crazy cyclint in this region!!.

So, I’m familiar from the region as a local cyclist.

If you have seen a lot of local landmark already, I recommend you to go to Biwa touge that is the most impressive anciant road.

The road is located in on the mountain that is almost 500 m high.

I am not sure why there is a anciant huge road such as high altitude.

In contrast, thats why, the road has good condetion I think nowadays.

Biwa touge

Biwa touge is one of the most high place in this road called “Nakasendo”.

Its around 557m high.

You should go over the mountain path “Okugo mountain path”.

The mountain path has a tunnel called “Okugo tunnel”.

You can go to Hiyoshi town of Mizunami City.

The town has 500 m high and good atmosphere.

Despite small town and countryside, there are a lot of anciante heritage.

Thats why, you can be excited if you like anciant heritages.

Okute town

Okute town is one of the post town.

This small town has yet old atmosphere like the past.

You can feel those good atmosphere.

Moreover, this town has several cafe.

You can have lunch and breakfast.

You can put the bike in front of the shop.

You dont have any concerning, because, its safe than you expected.

My bike haven’t stolen for 10 years without keys.

But, people said that your bike is too dirty to steal!!.

I mean that its safe.

Before entering the town, you can arrive at the gate of Biwa touge.

You can walk for 700 m on the stones that was made by anciante people.
